The Maker

Hi, I'm Lora

I started making soap in my kitchen in Brantford because I couldn't find bars that were truly gentle — no hidden detergents, no synthetic fragrance, just real ingredients that leave your skin soft.

What began as a weekend hobby turned into a small business fuelled by neighbours, farmers' markets, and word of mouth. Every bar you buy is cut, cured, and wrapped by me.

I'm proud to make something local, natural, and genuinely good for you — right here in Ontario.

Why handmade soap?

Most commercial "soaps" are technically detergent bars — the glycerin (your skin's best friend) is stripped out during mass manufacturing and sold separately.

Cold-process handmade soap retains all its natural glycerin, leaving skin moisturised and soft rather than tight and dry.

The Process

How I Make My Soaps

Cold-process soapmaking, the old-fashioned way

Select the Oils

Each recipe starts with a custom blend of plant-based oils chosen for their skin benefits — coconut for lather, olive for moisture, shea for softness.

Mix & Pour

Oils are combined with lye (sodium hydroxide) through a process called saponification. Once traced, botanicals and fragrance are added before pouring into moulds.

Cure for 4–6 Weeks

Patience is the secret ingredient. The bars rest on a rack for at least four weeks so the saponification completes and the bar hardens to a long-lasting finish.

Cut, Label & Ship

Each bar is hand-cut, checked for quality, labelled with full ingredients, and wrapped. Ready to make someone's shower a little more luxurious.
